More Gore Please!
I love Halloween. October in general. The air smells like decaying leaves, the temperature drops to a mild chill. Hats and scarves. Coats and gloves. Not to mention I get to play dress up all month long.

Yesterday Chris and I wanted to go do the whole apple-cider-donuts-haunted-house-thing. We drove alllll the way up North Avenue to go to Blake's. What a bust that was. Could you buy hot apple cider by the cup? No. Could you buy individual donuts? No. Did they have a decent haunted house? No. Were they playing "Get the Party Started" by Pink? Yes, yes indeed they were.
Feeling slightly dismayed, we made the drive to Lenox Township for another attraction. We weren't completely sure where we were going. After consulting the smarty pants phone (to no avail) and the gas station attendant, we arrived at Scarefest Scream Park. They were charging $35 each for the combo ticket. Nuh uh, sorry. Boyfriend and I are too frugal to drop seventy bucks so boonie boy and his friends can chase us with fake chainsaws. Was it too much to ask for cheap H-weenie thrills?

Reluctantly we started on our way home. A quick stop at the video store provided us with the necessary entertainment to make it through the rest of the night. I wish I could tell you if the movie was any good, but I fell asleep per usual.
This weekend is going to be a smash up, I just have the feeling. Friday is the Creepy Cheapy Halloween show at the Crowfoot. I'm especially looking forward to Silverghost as The B-52s. Saturday is Chris' show at the Trumbellplex. I love watching him perform, he's a madman. Sunday of course is Halloween. I'm looking forward to having to not run around that day. I've been running too much lately.

For the Moment

Photo taken in Indian Village
I decided to start this blog as something for a bit of writing, a bit of pictures, a bit of rambling, a bit of whatever. I've been sick for the past few days and haven't been able to make many cohesive thoughts. Feels like there's mucus trapped in my brain, blocking my thinker from thinking. Feeling like a space cadet.
